01 Nov #146 – Elliot ‘The Dragon’ Compton – Insights Into The World Of Fighting
This week’s episode gives us insights into the world of fighting. Elliot Compton is an international Martial Artist. The 29-year-old, who is a four-time World Caged Muay Thai Champion and has recently been contracted by One Championship to be a fighter for them. Compton explains how the most recent McGregor vs Khabib UFC fight had 2.4 million views whereas One championship average 11 million live views!
Elliot’s dad and coach runs Team Compton’s Training facility out of Auchenflower, Brisbane. Elliot has been in the gym since he was 5 years old learning the discipline of Muay Thai kickboxing. He is a very humble and respectful fighter and really is a master of his craft, he gives us insights into the world of fighting.
Elliot talks to both his mental and physical preparation and training for his fights. He uses visualisation daily and takes great pride in the effort he puts into the hours of training he partakes in daily. We also take a deep look into the removal of water cutting that that One Championship has enforced.
